I ignored the previous reviewers comment that the capacity is 240 gallons, but that's what it says on the label. Note that the standard bosch filter does 1500 gallons.That's about 9c/gallon for this filter and 2c/gallon for the standard bosch/3m filter that's $42. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002GBYVAQ/) Also note that the english instructions on the package say the filter capacity is 240 gallons and the spanish instructions say 400 gallons as stated in the product description on amazon. Which make me think this is some cheap chinese knock-off of the real thing rather than an actual Bosch product. You really want all the water you drink filtered through unknown materials from some random unregulated factory in china? Strangely the Bosch refrigerator manual says to replace it annually, the filter instructions say 250 gallons, which must be a typo! They probably meant 2500 gallons?
